This documentation provides a snippet and instructions tailored specifically for Google Tag Manager to ensure a smooth integration of Cookie3 Script. Let's begin!

Walkthrough

1. Copy the Custom Script:

   1. Visit app.cookie3.co/data-sources/website.

   2. In the table displaying your websites, locate the row corresponding to your website.

   3. Click on the code icon next to your website row to copy the custom script specific to your website.

2. Add the Cookie3 script to your Google Tag Manager project:

   1. Visit tagmanager.google.com.

   2. Select the project you want to add the Cookie3 script to.

   3. Click on Tags in the left sidebar.

   4. Click on New.

   5. Click on Tag Configuration.

   6. Click on Custom HTML.

   7. Paste the Cookie3 script you copied in step 1 into the HTML field.

   8. Click on Triggering.

   9. Click on All Pages.

   After pasting the script selecting the All pages trigger, your screen should look like this. You can now click on the{" "} save button in the top-right corner. Please note that the "siteId" in the script is customised for your website and will be different from the one shown in the screenshot.

   10. Click on Save.

   11. Click on Submit.

   12. Click on Publish.

Checking the script status

After connecting the custom script to your website with GTM, make sure to deploy/save/update your production code.

7. Once the production code is updated, open a web browser and visit app.cookie3.co/website/manage.

8. Check the Connection status for your website in the table row.

9. If the status is 'Connected,' congratulations!

10. If the status is 'Not connected,' click on the refresh icon to attempt to establish the connection again.

11. If the connection still fails, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.

Congratulations! You have successfully connected the Cookie3 Script to your website. You can now leverage advanced tracking and analytics features for your website.
